Wedding of Joy & Greg at Skitby

Skitby Wedding of Mr & Mrs Moffat | 10th June 2017

Joy Dunlop from the sleepy market town of Penrith, bordering the edge of the Lake District and her other half Greg Moffat from Falkirk, Scotland decided to tie the knot at Skitby, just outside Carlisle.

We started the morning with prep photos at Joy’s mum’s beautiful house in Penrith. Joy’s parents surprised her by hiring a gorgeous Rolce Royce wedding car (by Silver Lady Wedding Cars, Longtown) to take her to Skitby. The ceremony and reception took place at Skitby. This is ideal as it minimises traveling time and from the photographers point of view - more time for shooting means more photos for the clients!

As you’ll see from the photos there was a strong Scottish Theme as the groom and also part of Joy’s family are Scottish. Which leads us to the brilliant Ceilidh band (Thrice Brewed). If you want your guests up and dancing I’d highly recommend a live band in particular a ceilidh as it gets people up dancing and involved, which in turn makes for better pictures.
